During this course, you will explore the following topics by designing prototype solutions to each of the following questions (plus others, time and interest allowing):

How do Mechanisms, not Mechanics, impact game play?

How do I make a game’s design more Intuitive?

How do I create Games-Based Learning experiences that are meaningful and fun?

Course launches Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

The course runs on alternating Tuesdays from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) / 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time).

This is a non-credit bearing course.
This will be an online synchronous course conducted through our Gather.town classroom.
