We can’t wait to share updates from our biggest convention and other ongoing projects!
1. GEN CON!
The team had a fantastic time at Gen Con 2026! With our sales feet now firmly beneath us on the exhibit hall floor, we sold lots of games and spread the word about CMich Press.
This year, we also ran events featuring all of the Art & System role-playing games (Princess with a Cursed Sword, Dog Eat Dog, and The Mountain Witch), as well as Monumental Consequence, Keep the Faith, and Making History! In First Exposure Playtest Hall, designer Lien Tran playtested her game Dwell, a forthcoming title.
Thanks to a kind invitation from Good Games, a game store in downtown Indianapolis, we were also able to run a couple of demo nights in their store space and put Witch Hunt: 1649, The Blue Way, The New Way, and Line By Line in front of new audiences.
Thank you to our wonderful team, both in-person and other places, who helped make everything possible!
2. Manufacturing Prototype Copies of Dog Eat Dog and Princess with a Cursed Sword
We are delighted to announce that we have received some of the final proofing copies of Dog Eat Dog and Princess with aCursed Sword! Check out these pictures and keep an eye on our communication channels for more updates!

3. Outdoor History Games on Mackinac Island!
On August 15th, everyone is invited to join the CLGS in historic Marquette Park in downtown Mackinac Island to play Making History and Monumental Consequence! We are excited to play these larger-player-count games in such a cool space! The event will begin at 6PM and conclude at 8PM.
Meet us at the statue of Father Marquette to join the fun! Feel free to email grego1vm@cmich.edu with any questions!
4. Crowdfunding Wrap-Up and Announcement
Thank you to everyone who helped us make our initial crowdfunding goal for The Blue Way nearly twice over! We are so excited that all of our stretch goals were also met, which will mean more awesome goodies for you when the game ships out! Stay tuned for information about our preorder store, too!
The next big project on the horizon for CMich Press is Line By Line, a cozy, collaborative poetry-writing game which will be available to crowdfund in October! Check it out here to follow the prelaunch page in the meantime: https://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/central-michigan-university-press/line-by-line
Thank you, as always, for your support!
Feel free to email us with any questions, comments, general replies…we’d love to hear from you!
